Veterans Day Freebies ~ Our Favorites!

Thank You to all who have served and those currently serving!

This morning our family traveled to Los Angeles to the Veterans hospital for an appointment for my husband. We’ve made this trip dozens of times so the kids knew the drill. Up by 5 a.m. and out the door.
Once we got there Leo went in for his appointment and the kids and I headed to the Patriot Cafe. It was breakfast time so I was more than delighted to see a Starbucks and the kids were happy they had bagels and cream cheese.
After we finished eating we walked over to the Patriot Store. I was handed a flyer and told of the sales they were having. Not only did they sucker me in at the word SALES but I noticed on the back that today they were celebrating Veterans Day and giving a free meal and coffee to all Veterans. I was so excited to see this!
Not only is this Veterans Day Weekend, but it is also Marine Corps Birthday. Which is always a big deal in our house. I booked a surprise weekend for my husband and I, but totally forgot about his Veterans Day Freebies!

When he was done with his appointment I knew he was starving so he was just as excited as I was for his free meal. He ate his breakfast, the kids helped, and we were on our merry way back home.
