Is it Friday Yet?

Yesterday I thought all day it was Thursday. Today I keep thinking it is Friday. Don’t you hate that?

The mind of this Momma is all over the place right now.

Mommy & Daddy Bonding time. YES!

This weekend Leo and I are headed to Victorville, CA to celebrate my cousin’s 50th Birthday! It’s a 21+ party which means kids get to stay home and Leo and I get some much needed hubby&wifey time.

We’ve reserved an AirBnB, plus I have another trick up my sleeve. So i’m guessing this is why my brain is trying so hard to fast forward time. So excited!

Tis the season for everyone to be sick

Since December the Orduno Home has been stricken with illness after illness. It’s the time of year, I know. But with our modern day Brady Bunch it certainly doesn’t make it any easier.

Macy-Jane was at Urgent Care last week with a Respiratory infection, and just as we start to finish the antibiotics for that, we received an unwelcomed case of the Stomach Flu. Yup! Just as I start to put the medicine away in our medicine bin, another kid complains of a tummy ache or has a slight fever and back to the kitchen counter it all goes.

Times like these I am extremely grateful for my husband. He knows I work hard to be a SAHM, even if it takes some reminding. So when the children wake up in the night he’s the first to get up with them and allows me to sleep. I appreciate that so much.

Currently, Molly has a slight fever and cough, myself and Little Leo are getting over this stomach bug and Macy-Jane and Jess seem to be okay for the time being. Praying to God he allows us a little break. Especially with this weekend planned out. Plus, we have Molly’s 2nd Birthday Party coming up in a couple weeks and I prefer for us all to be healthy and i’m sure our guests feel the same way!

Molly’s Party in the Making

I love making parties! I love hosting and it means a lot to me to find ways to include all of our guests and help them to feel as comfortable as possible. I love to make a memorable time for everyone. This is with ANY party I host; SuperBowl, Easter, Birthdays, Christmas, New Years…. if i’m hosting i’m going all out. I love being happy and spending time with good people! The work is totally worth it to me.

When we brought Molly home from the hospital, it was SuperBowl Sunday. Last year on Molly’s 1st Birthday.. It was SuperBowl Sunday. This year… same deal. We didn’t throw BabyGirl a big 1st Birthday Bash so this year we’re going to make up for it! Even if that means having to wait until past the SuperBowl to ensure everyone is available.

She loves Peppa Pig, so a Peppa Theme it is!!! Now, as much as I love to throw a huge party, I also like to save a buck!!! Or many bucks(drives my husband crazy.) So instead of buying ALL Decorations, Paper Plates, Napkins, Cups etc in the Peppa Theme I will only buy a few then use the closest colors in party supplies I can find from the Dollar Store and go from there.

After this weekend i’ll be busy busy preparing for Molly’s 2nd Birthday Peppa Pig Style! And after the Party you better believe i’ll be doing a big Peppa Pig Birthday post.

I’ve had a lot of you suggesting on Blog Topics, i’m working hard to compile a good article. I hear you guys!!

I hope you all have a WONDERFUL weekend, i’ll be sure to share our adventure once we return. In the meantime follow LifeAmorFamily on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!

Proverbs 31:26

“When she speaks, her words are wise, and she gives instructions with kindness.”

There’s been a lot of debate going around Social Media with all that’s going on in the United States. I don’t want to name topics nor do I want to speak too far into it. I try my hardest to stay out of it. I respect what other women have to say but people tend to get nasty and it breaks my heart to see that type of behavior. I just want to suggest that we all work hard on building each other UP instead of down. We are powerful as women and have a lot to offer the world, but if all we spread is negativity, It will get us no where. If you have trouble with spreading positive messages, ask God to soften your heart. Or, as we were taught as kids and it goes a long way. “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say it at all.” It’s truly as easy as that.
